Feminism is a process of fighting for women rights. There are many cases of feminism in history and there are even some cases in the Bible. I remember the empowered women leaders of Israel; they were wise and wanted the best for their people. There is some controversy about what feminists are fighting for. This is mainly because there are some conservative people and they think that any kind of feminism is bad. In my opinion, what is bad is extremism. People cannot judge a movement that wants to protect and demand their rights. However, there are some topics that need to be discussed. One of them is abortion. I know I am not the best person to talk about it, but I would like to give my opinion. This is one of my rights.

According to Wikipedia abortion is the ending of a pregnancy by removal or expulsion of an embryo or fetus. There are many reasons why women do an abortion. One of the worst reasons is because of rape. It must be hard to tell a little girl who was raped not to abort a fetus. Everyone judges her but they are being a hypocrite. Conservative people still do abortions; they have sex then take pills in order to finish pregnancy. We cannot make decisions about someone else’s body. They normally say if you do not want to have an abortion then do not do it.

On the other hand, we are talking about another life. I am a Christian and I also believe that we have to protect both lives. It is easy to say “do not kill the being an unborn child”. But what are we doing to preserve both lives? What is our government doing to protect both lives? We need to transform the politics of our countries to make people more educated and give them more opportunities. We also have to work on people’s mental health so that they are discouraged from committing grievous offences such as rape also there needs to be more resources available to rape victims.   

This is a hard topic to talk about. Feminism is a great movement that fights for women rights. They have come far. But we need to think well about abortion. I know women can decide over their body, but what about the rights of the unborn child? We need to keep working to create laws to help both lives.
